Introduction.

On Cars you have one brake pedal that controls all the brakes on the car. Yet on a bicycle you have individual brakes for the front and rear wheels.

Why not Have one brake which can control both front and rear brakes. This could be calibrated in order to get the most efficient braking method.

Whether it is; hard on both, hard front - light back, and light front- hard back.

This braking System would be best suited to town bikes as the users are not not using the bike for serious sport for example; road racing and mountain bikes. The town bike is mainly used for commuting in and out of work or school.

I believe this would attract more people into cycling, who have been cautious of braking in the past. and with fuel prices rising and people wanting to get more exercise this is a perfect market environment.
